Women Walking is a call to action timeline that demonstrates leaders in civil rights movements throughout United States history. It symbolizes a walking protest and serves as a reminder of the powerful people who fought before us.

This piece depicts 55 women from the 55 US states and territories. Each person has been a leader, activist, and/or role model in their field. 55 Women is inspired by the US presidential timeline common in most classrooms. Since this timeline consists of all men, I thought it crucial to create a piece of women throughout time who have contributed lasting change to our communities.
